Heavy metals in waste pipes travel to treatment plants. Scientists can surely develop the means to isolate and remove them for recycling. Septic tanks usually miss treatment plants and the contents sucked into tankers and pump-sprayed on fields as fertilizer. Stop and empty into treatment plants. Paint manufacturers must responsibly manage waste. Users carry on as usual. QED
